I am a former National Trainer for DC4k (DivorceCare for Kids) A Christ centered 13 week recovery ministry that helps children process the detrimental effects of divorce. I then started my own speaking/training ministry that speaks to children and stress and how the break down of the family system is ruining our children…and eventually will affect the church in a catastrophic way. You can’t think of divorce and not think of the kids who have experienced it…even as adults.

My mom married and divorced 3 times before I was 11. I then married and divorced, leaving the same legacy to my own children. I remarried a wonderful man who also has experienced divorce, with two kids. I have seen how seeing divorce as a child has affected my marriage today. Fear of abandonment and rejection play into every part of intimacy of my current “healthy Christian” marriage hahaha. Marriage is hard, remarriage is harder, remarriage with blending a family is the hardest. But thankfully, God is the greatest!

Hey Uncle Josh, Aunt Missy and Aunt’s Missy’s Ex, aka Uncle Josh’s best friend…

I just wanted you to know that I have been following this blog, and it has really opened my eyes to what has and can go on in my marriage. It definitely has been encouraging, and little discouraging, but mostly insightful. Thank you for writing it… I’m not usually one to actually read anything longer than a post on fb, especially not a book. If you ever get this published, I’d like a copy for sure. Uh, I mean, WHEN you get this published. It has kept my interest, maybe because you are all so honest and it’s a very personal part of your life- I am nosy, so I like to hear about what has gone on in people’s lives. Keep up the great work. Love reading it.
